Joyce Chen

Joyce Chen was a founding team of curbFlow, the second combined iteration of Chariot which sold to Ford and Hitch which sold to Lyft, as Product and Policy Counsel. Joyce recently served as U.S. delegate to the car-making regions of Germany on the subject of smart mobility. She formerly led Legal and spearheaded corporate partnerships at a startup spun out of the San Francisco Mayor's Office of Civic Innovation; during her tenure, the startup grew its customers by 340%. Her authorship of the playbook for Miami-Dade County to integrate payments for multimodal transit secured the Metropolitan Transportation Commission as a key stakeholder. In her previous career, Joyce was a civil rights litigator and lobbyist with the Southern Poverty Law Center and had helped prosecute multibillion-dollar cases of corruption and collusion on behalf of the World Bank before counseling a startup through acquisition by Ericsson after it had received the largest infusion of capital ever in the PaaS space. She holds degrees from UC Berkeley and New York University.
