Dean Alonistiotis

Chief of Staff for Commissioner Kim du Bucle

Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRD)

Dean currently serves as Chief of Staff for MWRD Commissioner Kim du Buclet. Dean is responsible for the crafting and implementation of the office's community and external engagement efforts for collaboration with public and private stakeholders across Cook County. He has worked in both the public and nonprofit sector during his career in a wide range of positions focusing on community engagement and government relations. He has served as the Director of Economic Development for the City Treasurer's Office, which he launch the first in its kind impacting investment fund focusing on neighborhood development as well as the implementation of ESG investing strategies for the City of Chicago investment portfolio.

Dean is a son of Chicago. He is a product of CPS education from K-12 and currently serves on the Local School Council for his neighborhood school as a community representative. Dean has earned a B.A. in Political Science from DePaul University and his MPPA from Northwestern University. He sits on several civic-focused organizations here in Chicago seeking to support sustainability and economic development efforts in communities across Chicago.
